Problems in the nature and environment
-people don´t care for the environment as they should
-people prefer their comfortable life and luxury
-they want more cars, motorcycles, aeroplanes, bigger houses, the latest computer
technology, packaged foods
-this way they pollute nature and environment
-people, animals, plants can´t live without air – all need air but only people pollute it
-air pollution is the biggest problem in large cities
-some factories emit SO2 and when it mixes with rainwater we have there acid rain
-acid rain pollutes the water and the soil, trees grow more slowly and die earlier
-trees are very important for our life – they are lungs of our planet
-the great rain forests are destroyed for firewood and building mateials
-some factories don´t have good cleaning system
-people use chemical cleaning products in their households
-people don´t recycle and don´t separate their trash
-people waste the water and energy
-the hole in the ozone layer is getting larger because of Freon gas and CO2 from cars,
power plants and homes
-there are many ecological catastrophes – tanker accidents (one tank can pollute several
million litres of water)
-the earth is getting warmer
-icebergs are melting
-there are many floods

What can people do?
• separate and recycle our trash (bio, paper, plastic, glass, metal)
• don´t waste water (take showers instead of baths)
• don´t waste elektricity (switch off the lights, radio,…)
• recycle used batteries
• don´t use sprays with freon
• walk, cycle and use public transport instead of cars
• use unleaded petrol
• grow plants and trees
• don´t throw your waste in the nature
• use alternative sources of energy (solar, water, wind, geothermal)
• don´t use chemicals and pesticides in agriculture
• protect animals and plants
• establish nature parks and reserves
